For Ana's first birthday we had a family dinner at our new house. It was only a week after we had moved in but all went well and it was wonderful to have everyone over.
Now that Ana is a big girl she is rejecting baby food. I tried to explain to her that big girls grow teeth but she doesn't seem to agree! Thanks for trying, Papa.
This is a "my mouth is full, do we have to do this right now?" look. Thanks, Clay, for trying to include me in our family history. See, I was there.
Wow. And she still doesn't realize that she's out of his league. You'd better make this permanent, Drew!
I think I could make an album out of all the photos I have of Granny right in the middle of telling me not to take her picture.
Thanks for all of the thoughtful and great presents everyone! This is Ana showing off her new bracelet, I think she likes jewelry already! She immediately held her arm in the air and said, "ooooo."
She blew out her candle without any practice ahead of time! She knows how to blow so we kept telling her to blow on the candle and she got it, genius! James here is practicing great self control.
Sorry, Ana, you can look forward to a lifetime of "look over here's" and "smile!"
She did wear this for a while at the beginning of the party...
To finish off the night, Ana gave a performance of her newest talents!
